When I was in high school my dad said he could always tell if it was weekday or a weekend based on my pre-dawn routine. He said if I was grumbling and shuffling my feet around half-heartedly he knew it was a weekday and thus, time to go to school. The weekend was different- I had a noticeable energy and purposeful drive because it was time to surf; every minute that passed was a minute closer to the sun coming up and empty waves passing through unridden.
